”A little kindness today makes tomorrow better”
These are the words that were used in the online flyers prepared by the peace club members of Mlongwema Secondary School. This is from the efforts initiated by these young people in continuing the campaign to eradicate poverty, early marriage and early pregnancy in the areas of Mlola and Ngwelo in Lushoto district. These young people were members of the peace club which is being facilitated by YPM, where YPM provided various trainings on Climate Action, Gender Equality, Quality Education and Good Health and Well-Being amongst other, for which are sustainable development goals (SDG), goal no. 13,5, 4 and 3.
YPM is very happy to see these young people who are currently in universities in the country, that they have realized the opportunity they have and come back to help their younger ones who are in need of school supplies and personal hygiene where these young people donated school shirts, bar and powder soaps, notebooks in two cartons, sanitary towels, pens and other school supplies for students.
YPM together with its partners from Valdres Norway were able to support those efforts with joint participation at Mlongwema Secondary School. YPM also has congratulated them and encourages young people from peace club to use the education they get to help and free the community from the braking the chains of poverty.
