Entrepreneurship training on how to make liquid soap was held on March 10, 2023 at Prince Claus Secondary School (SSPC), conducted by Ms. Ewaldina Paul from the YPM Institute, with the aim of encouraging young people to get involved in entrepreneurship.
Giving training to the students and some of the teachers who attended, Ms. Ewaldina said “young people should be creative in fighting poverty, and due to the lack of employment we can be entrepreneurs and self-employed, so today the YPM Tanzania Institute has seen fit to bring you this training so that it becomes a springboard for you”.
In addition, Zamana Ibrahimu a form four student at SSPC, said she was happy with the way YPM institution gave them the opportunity to learn entrepreneurship, “The institution has believed in us as young people and we are grateful to have the opportunity to do entrepreneurship, especially for those of us who are graduating form four, it is a good opportunity and I promise to use this opportunity well”.
“This training gives us the opportunity to earn an income and we will also start producing soap for use in cleaning school areas such as toilets and classrooms. We will also teach our parents and family at home so that it can be a contribution to the family’s income” said Abdala Saidi, a student of the four.
The Principal of SSPC Richard Onai Shembwana thanked YPM for giving them this opportunity and has promised to use that knowledge to teach the students how to make soaps for school and home use as well.
