Mh. Sekiboko: Wanawake tumieni teknolojia kujiendeleza

Mh.

Women should use technology for their own development, Ed. Sekiboko

Hon. Husna Sekiboko, Member of Parliament for CCM special seats in Tanga region, who is an official guest, has accompanied the head of Lushoto District Hon. Ekalisti Lazaro together with women from government and non-government organisation from various parts of Lushoto district to celebrate the International Women’s Day celebrated in the district in Lunguza Village, Lunguza ward on March 8, 2023, and the slogan was “innovation and technology for gender equality”

Hon. Sekiboko said that women should use communication technology to develop themselves commercially and teach other women various ways to get help themselves economically by using mobile phones. She also urged parents to direct their children to the correct use of social networks to help them develop themselves educationally instead of spending a lot of time browsing immoral websites and pages.

“Men should cooperate with women in raising a family with love and not leave it to women themselves”, said Hon. Sekiboko Furthermore, she strongly opposed the existence of stereotypes that oppress women, such as inheriting the wife of the deceased, as it is a tradition that endangers the health of the inherited woman.

On sexual violence issues Hon. Sekiboko said that parents should teach their children decent games, games that will not make other people want to exploit children, so it is not good for a parent to allow a child to play in front of people to protect him from sexual abuse.
