Leo YPM imetembelea wakulima wa viazi mviringo  wa Kwedeghe ambao ni wanavikundi vya kijamii vya  watoa huduma ndogo za kifedha. Dhumuni nikuwaunganisha wakulima hawa na soko ili waweze kuuza zao hili kwa urahisi ambapo YPM imemtafuta mfanya biashara ambaye yupo tayari kununua zao hilo kwa wakulima kwa bei nzuri.

Today YPM has visited the Kwedeghe potatoes growers who are members Community Microfinance Groups. The purpose is to connect these farmers with the market so that they can sell this crop easily. In addition to that, YPM has brought a trader who is willing to buy the potatoes from those farmers in good price.

Leo taasisi ya YPM ilipata nafasi ya kushiriki katika mdahalo wa mawazo kati ya wanafunzi wa chuo cha mahakama cha IJA (Institute of Judicial Administration) na Chuo cha Ufundi Mabughai -Lushoto Mada ikiwa inasema “Je kuna usawa kati ya jinsia ya kike na jinsia ya kiume katika jamii inayokuzunguka” Upande wa kuunga mkono hoja walikuwa Chuo cha Maendeleo ya jamii na Ufundi na upande wa Kupinga hoja ikiwa ni Chuo Mungu ni mwema vijana wametupa ushirikiano mzuri sana wanachuo wa IJA pamoja na wa Mabughai! Today Young people from Institute of Judicial Administration (IJA) and other young people around Lushoto town have participated on the online meeting that has been prepared by TIMU/YUNA Tanzania. The topic that was discussed is HEATHY NATIONS WITH YOUTH ON STEERING WHEEL (Realization of GBV Free Society and Reliable SHR for a Sustained Youth Healthy Status)

Mashindano ya Kwamasiba Stop Poverty Cup  ‘Football League’’ yamemaliza kwa mchezo wa finali kati ya Kwamasimba na Mtonga ambapo timu ya mpira wa miguu ya Mtonga ilishinda mechi hiyo kwa mikwaju ya penati.Mashindando hayo yalianzishwa kwaajili ya kuwawezesha vijana kupigana na Umaskini lakini pia kuleta amani, furaha na mshikamano katika jamii. Kulikua na jumbe mbalimbali zilizokua zinapamba mashindano hayo kwaajili ya kuelimisha jamii. Kupiga vita ndoa za utotoni, kuchangamkia fursa za mikopo kutoka halimashari pamoja na kuinua vijana kimichezo kwani michezo ni ajira ni moja ya jumbe zilizokua zikionekana kwenye mabango yalikuwepo uwanjani. Zaidi ya hayo, zawadi zilitolewa kwa mshindi wa kwanza, wa pili na watatu. Viongozi mbalimbali wa Serikali waliipongeza taasisi ya YPM kwa kushiriki vizuri katika shughuli zakuleta maendeleo kwenye jamii na kuahidi kutoa ushirikaono wakaribu kwataaasi kila watakapo itembelea jamii yao.

The Kwamasiba Stop Poverty ‘Cup Football League’’ ended with a final match between Kwamasimba and Mtonga where the Mtonga football team won the match on penalties. The tournament was started to enable young people to fight poverty but also to bring peace, happiness and solidarity in society. There were various messages put up decorating the competition for the purpose of educating the community. Fighting child marriage, seizing credit opportunities from the council as well as uplifting young people in sports as sports are jobs is one of the messages that were appearing on the posters on the field. In addition, prizes were awarded to the first, second and third place winners. Various government officials commended the YPM for its active participation in community development activities and pledged to provide co-operation whenever they visit  their community.

Vijana Waleta Amani Tanzania wanapenda kuwakumbusha kuhusiana na swala la Utunzaji Mazingira kwa kupanda miti.Taasisi imetengeneza Vitalu vya Miti Lushoto katika ofisi za YPM na Korogwe maeneo ya Mgombezi. Unachotakiwa kufanya nikufika iliuweze kupata miti hiyo bure kabisa.(Hii ni mahususi Kwa Vikundi vya Kijamii vya Huduma ndogo za Fedha vya Vijana Waleta Amani).

Youth Peace Makers Tanzania would like to remind you about the issue of Environmental Protection by planting trees. The organization had prepared two tree nurseries in Lushoto and Korogwe. All you have to do is come and get your trees for free. (This is very specific to Peace Makers Community Microfinance Groups).

Shirika la YPM lilikua linaendesha semina mbalimbali katika mkoa wa Tanga kwa Vikundi Vya Kijamii Vya Watoa Huduma Ndogo Za Fedha kuhusiana na mfumo wa utunzaji kumbukumbu kwa njia ya mtandao ujilikanao kwa jina la CHOMOKA. Mfumo huu ni mfumo mzuri ambao unawawezesha wanakikundi kutunza kumbukumbu zao kupitia simu janja. Tunashukuru vikundi vya Kwedeghe vimeupokea vizuri mfumo huu ambapo vikundi kumi vilinunua simu janja na kuanza kuingiza taarifa zao.Tunapenda kuwaomba wana vikundi wengine kujiunga na mfumo huu ambao utafanya mapinduzi makubwa katika huduma yao na kuwezesha kuondoa changamoto za kimahesabu ambazo zinakumba vikundi hivyo.

YPM has been conducting various seminars in the Tanga region for Community Microfinance Groups related to the online record keeping system called CHOMOKA. This system is a great system that enables group members to keep their records via smart phones. We are grateful that the Kwedeghe groups have received this initiative well where ten groups bought smart phones and started to enter their information. The organization argues all other groups to use this system which will help them to avoid financial challenges that they are encountering.

Youth Peace Makers Tanzania (YPM) is deeply saddened by the loss of its beloved brother David L. Mkami. Mr Mkami was a longtime member of the YPM board. YPM recognizes the great contribution of Mr Mkami in advising to ensure that the organization works well to achieve its goals. YPM extends its condolences to the family of the deceased brother, the leaders and members of the YPM board, YPM staff as well as relatives and friends. The Lord has given and the Lord has taken let his name be glorified.

Shirika la Youth Peace Makers Tanzania (YPM) limepata simanzi na majonzi kubwa ya kuondokewa na mpedwa wake ndugu David L. Mkami. Ndugu Mkami alikua mjumbe wa bodi ya YPM kwa muda mrefu. YPM inautambua mchango mkubwa wa ndugu Mkami katika kushauri ili kuhakikisha shirika linafanya kazi vizuri ili kufikia malengo yake. YPM inatoa pole kwa familia ya ndugu mkami, viongozi na wajumbe wa bodi ya YPM, wafanya kazi wa YPM pamoja na ndugu, jamaa na marafiki. Bwana ametoa na Bwana ametwaa jina la Bwana na lihimidiwe.

YPM imeanzisha ligi ya mpira wa miguu katika kijiji cha Kwamasimba wilayani Korogwe. Ligi hiyo inaendeshwa kwa jina la ‘Stop Poverty Cup’. Ligi hii imeanzishwa kwa lego la kuinua vipaji vya vijana wa kwamasimba lakini pia kuelimisha jamii juu ya utunzaji wa mazingira,kuzuia ndoa za utotoni, kuelimisha jamii kufuatilia kwa kina juu ya maendeleo yao kupitia serikali, lakini pia na fursa za mikopo ambazo wanaweza kupata katika halimashauri zao.

YPM has established a football league at Kwamasimba village in Korogwe district. The league, known as the ‘Stop Poverty Cup’, has been set up to raise the talents of youth at Kwamasimba but also to educate the community about caring for the environment, preventing child marriage, earl pregnancies, educating the community to make follow-up for their development funds, and credit opportunities that they can get in their councils.

Katiaka harakati za taasisi ya YPM kuhakikisha kua inawatumikia na kushirikiana na wananchi pamoja na Serikali katika kupambana na umasikini, YPM imeendelea kuvishauri vikundi vya VICOBA katika maeneo mbalimbali ya mkoa wa Tanga. Tarehe 09 na 10 ya mwezi huu YPM imeendesha semina katika kijiji cha Kwamasimba kilichopo wilaya ya korogwe mkoani Tanga ambapo vikundi sita vya VICOBA vilituma wawakilishi ili kuhudhuria semina hiyo. Malengo ya semina hiyo ya siku mbili yalikua nikuwezesha vikundi hivyo kua na VICOBA endelevu. Maana ya VICOBA endelevu ni vikundi ambayo vinaendesha shughuli zao na inapofikia mwisho wa mwaka vikundi hivyo VINAFUNGA MZUNGUKO kwa kugawana faida iliopatikana na sio kugawana Hisa amabazo ndio mtaji wa vikundi. Wanavikundi hao waliishukuru sana taasisi ya YPM kwa ajili ya elimu iliyowapatia na kuahidi kwamba watakua na vikundi endelevu. Sambamba na hilo, Maafisa wa YPM walielimisha jamii juu ya kupiga vikali ndoa za utotoni lakini pia kuiomba jamii kuhakisha kua hakuna binti ambae anapata mimba akiwa katika umri wa chini ya miaka 18 . Maafisa hao walieleza kua imekua ni changamoto kubwa kwa watoto wa kike wanapokua wanalazimishwa kuolewa mapema kitu ambacho kinapoteza ndoto zao na haki yao ya kupata elimu.Wananchi wa Kwamasimba walikiri kwamba mambo hayo yanatokea katika jamii yao na zaidi ya hayo waliendelea kushukuru nakusema kua taasisi ya YPM imekua mkombozi wao kwani mara zote imekua ikiitetea jamii na kuonyesha njia itakayo wasaidia kutatua changamoto zao.

YPM HAD BEEN MENTIONED TO BE THE SAVIOUR OF KWAMASIMBA’S PEOPLE

In the wake of YPM’s efforts to ensure that it serves the people well and cooperate with the government in the fight against poverty, YPM has continued to advise VICOBA groups in various parts of Tanga region. On the 09th and 10th of this month YPM conducted a seminar at Kwamasimba Korogwe in Tanga region where six VICOBA groups sent representatives to attend the seminar. The purpose of the two-days seminar was to enable the groups to have sustainable VICOBA. The meaning of Sustainable VICOBA is the groups that run their operations and by the end of the year these groups perform financial calculations by sharing the profits earned and not the Shares that are the capital of the groups. The group members were very grateful to YPM for the education they provided and promised that they would grow up with sustainable groups. At the same time, YPM officials educated the community on the seriousness of child marriage but also called on the community to ensure that no girl gets pregnant under the age of 18. The officials explained that it has become a major challenge for girls as they grow up being forced to marry early something that loses their dreams and their right to education. The participants uttered that YPM has become their savior as it has always been defending the community and showing the way that will help them solve their challenges.
