Mwezi wa Kutokomeza Ukatili na unyanyasaji kwa Watoto.
Shirika la Youth Peace Makers Tanzania limeanzisha kampeni kubwa ya Kutokomeza Unyanayasaji na Ukatili kwa Watoto kupitia jukwaa lake la vijana liitwalo Youth Peace Makers Forum Tanzania. Tukio hilo kubwa limefanyika Moshi Kilimanjaro katika ukumbi wa mikutano wa YMCA. Wadau mbalimbali wanaopigania haki za mtoto walihudhulia na kuwasilisha mada mabalimbali kwaajili ya kukuza uwelewa wawashiriki. Shirika linatambua Mchango na ushiriki mzuri wa Mrs. Matilda Phillip mwanasheria wa zamani wa UNICEF ambae alitoa maada juu ya sheria zinazolinda haki ya mtoto pamoja na kuonyesha ni wapi sheria hizo zinaweza kurekebishwa ili ziweze kuongeza tija katika kupambana na ukatili na unyanyasaji kwa watoto,
Mrs. CPL Hapiness Eliufoo kutoka dawati la jinsia Wilaya Hai,Mr.Helga Simon kutoka ustawi wa jamii wilaya Hai, na Mr. Mwelinde Jason kutoka ustawi wa jamii Chuo cha Afya Machame. Taasisi inapenda kupongeza Vyuo vyote pamoja na watu wote waliohudhuria kwenye tukio hili kubwa la kuweka mikakati juu ya kupinga na kutokomeza unyanyasaji dhidi ya watoto. Akizungumza na vijana waliodhururia kwenye kongamano hilo Mkurugezi wa Taasisi ya YPM Mch. Godgfrey T walalaze aliwashukuru vijana kwa kushiki vyema lakini pia kuwaasa kuchukua hatua stahiki ili kupinga Unyanyasaji na Ukatili kwa watoto. Mch. Walalaze aliendelea kuwaambia vijana kua nguvu na tegemeo la Taifa katika maendeleo vipo mikononi mwa vijana hivyo vijana wanapaswa kufanya kazi kwa bidii ili kujikwamua kiuchumi na kuleta maendeleo katika Taifa letu.Aidha, aliwashukuru vijana wote walioshiriki kikamilifu katika kuandaa kongamano hilo ambalo ni mala ya kwanza kufanyika na kuwaomba wawe na moyo huo huo wakujituma katika shughuli zinazoleta maendeleo kwa Taifa.
Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAP) the Month to End Violence and Child Abuse.
Youth Peace Makers Tanzania has launched a major campaign to end Child Abuse and Violence through its youth forum called Youth Peace Makers Forum Tanzania. The big event took place in Moshi Kilimanjaro at the YMCA conference hall. Various stakeholders fighting for the rights of the child attended and presented various topics for raising awareness among the participants. The organization recognizes the contribution and positive participation of Mirs. Matilda Phillip, a former UNICEF attorney who provided information on child protection laws as well as where the laws could be amended to increase productivity in the fight against child abuse and violence, Gender Desk representative Mrs.
CPL Happiness Eliufoo from the Hai District, Mr. Helga Simon social welfare officer from Hai District, and Mr. Mwelinde Jason social worker from Machame College of Health. YPM would also like to congratulate all the Colleges as well as all the people who attended this great event to put in place strategies to prevent and eradicate child abuse. Speaking to the young people who attended the event, the Director of YPM Organisation Rev. Godgfrey T. Walalaze thanked the youth for their positive attitude but also urged them to take appropriate action to combat child abuse and violence. Rev. Walalaze also told the participants that, the strength and reliance of the Nation in development is in the hands of the youth so the youth should work hard to get rid of poverty and Injustice and bring development in the Nation. In concluding, the Director urge them to have the same heart to commit themselves to activities that bring development to the Nation.
